The Worry Wags By Kiki Pape & Illustrated By Ellyana Wills

The Worry Wags by Kiki Pape & illustrated by Ellyana Wills is a heartwarming children's book series that takes young readers on exciting adventures while addressing important topics like anxiety and mental health.

Our stories provide a relatable and comforting resource for parents and children, promoting emotional well-being and mindfulness.

In the spring of 2024, The Worry Wags started as a little idea and quickly grew into something much bigger through lots of writing, revising, and dreaming. With every draft, the characters found their personalities, the adventures became more exciting, and the story found its heart.

Ellyana Wills brought the world of The Worry Wags to life with her beautiful illustrations, capturing each character's unique spirit and charm. Together, we created a series that helps children navigate big feelings—especially worries and anxiety—in a way that feels fun, comforting, and relatable.

My hope is that The Worry Wags becomes a cozy companion for kids and families, reminding them that worries are a normal part of life and that even the biggest worries can lead to friendship, courage, and wonderful adventures.

 Events/Readings With Kiki & Ellyana

Luna Sol Reading

On Saturday, The Worry Wags had the joy of bringing movement, mindfulness, and emotional wellness to life at Luna Sol. Alongside Morgan Ulin Pilates by Morgan, children explored yoga and calming practices designed to help them work through big worries—learning how movement and breath can become powerful tools for emotional confidence and self-expression.

The experience was elevated by thoughtful details throughout the space, from beautiful florals by Bloom Bar to curated goodie bags for moms fe

Reading at Eton Academy

Eton Academy was such a special experience.

For the lovers, the dreamers, and me — a room full of brave feelings, curious questions, and students who reminded me how powerful connection, imagination, and learning together can be. 🐾💛

I’m so grateful to be part of moments like this, and I look forward to more opportunities to share The Worry Wags with young readers.

Reading at Way Elementary

Through Worry Wags, I had the opportunity to read my children’s book to students at Way Elementary—the school where Ellyana Wills and I met and became friends—in the very classrooms where I once learned how to read myself. Standing there, sharing a story I created, felt full circle in the most powerful way.

Girls Who Golf Holiday Event

Amazing time at the Girls Who Golf Holiday Event, where I not only had the chance to host a reading of The Worry Wags, but also sold some books to incredible families who are passionate about supporting their kids’ emotional well-being.

It was so inspiring to see the young girls connect with the story and share their thoughts on managing big feelings. Huge thanks to Girls Who Golf for creating such a supportive and empowering space!

Looking forward to more opportunities to share The Worry Wag

RidgeWood Elementary Reading

The Worry Wags had the sweetest kind of milestone — a school reading at Ridgewood Elementary.

Anyone who has written or published a book knows the behind-the-scenes reality: it’s not always easy. Selling a book, sharing your story, and putting your work out into the world can feel like an uphill climb. There are days when the process feels heavy and days when you wonder if the right readers will ever find it.

But then you walk into a room full of kids… and everything shifts.

Leon and Lulu Books and Author's event

I’m so grateful to have been part of the Leon & Lulu Books & Authors Event this weekend.
A sincere thank-you to Leon & Lulu for hosting such a well-organized and inspiring event that celebrates local authors and independent creatives. I’m also deeply appreciative of my family and friends who came out to show their support — your encouragement means so much.

It was an honor meeting so many talented writers whose passion for storytelling was truly inspiring.
